The official launch of the Carpathian Sea Democracy Week took place on February 15, 2024, at the Ukrainian Crisis Media Center and on February 23 in Norway, during the solidarity event with Ukraine at Kilden Teater og Konserthus in Kristiansand.
From April 22-26, 2024, the inaugural “Carpathian Sea Democracy Week” was successfully hosted in Truskavets, April 22-26, 2024, with both online and offline participation from esteemed individuals such as the President of the Nordic Council, the President of the Storting, the President of the Baltic Assembly, Head of NATO mission, Embassies of Northern Europe and Baltic countries, as well as members of parliaments from Estonia and Iceland, members of the Oslo City Council, Ukrainian mayors, influential analytical centrs, Oscar and Nobel Peace Prize laureates, as well as representatives from the ICLD, Swedish Institute etc. Around 400 delegates from 10 different countries took part in 30 panel discussions covered many important tonics such as energy, ecology, cultural heritage, gender equality, human rights, politics, international security and many more. The Carpathian Sea Democracy Week is a discussion platform for the exchange of ideas on social and political issues, where citizens and opinion leaders discuss the future of Ukraine, consolidation of efforts of all segments of society and the international community to bring victory closer.
