As part of the Democratic Week of the Carpathian Sea 2026, a panel discussion titled “Green Energy of Ukraine. Alternative Energy” will take place, focusing on sustainable development, energy security, and Ukraine’s ecological transformation.

The panel will explore the role of renewable energy sources in strengthening Ukraine’s energy independence, the prospects for alternative energy development, and the challenges and opportunities for implementing green solutions in the current context.

Special attention will be given to energy system decentralization, innovative technologies, investment opportunities, the role of local communities and grassroots initiatives, as well as aligning Ukraine’s energy policy with European standards.

The discussion will bring together experts, representatives of government institutions, the private sector, civil society organizations, and think tanks.

The event aims to foster expert dialogue, exchange best practices, and develop a shared vision for green and alternative energy as a cornerstone of a resilient and democratic future for Ukraine.
