As part of the Democratic Week of the Carpathian Sea 2026, a panel discussion titled “Defense Industry” will take place, focusing on the role of the defense sector in strengthening national security and supporting democratic development.
The discussion will address the current state and future prospects of the defense industry, its importance for national resilience, economic development, and technological innovation, as well as challenges related to transparency, accountability, and international cooperation.
Special attention will be given to cooperation between the state, private sector, and civil society, innovation processes, and the role of the defense industry in responding to long-term security challenges.
The panel will bring together experts, representatives of relevant organizations, think tanks, and civil society actors.
The event aims to foster meaningful dialogue, exchange expertise, and develop a shared vision for the defense industry as a key component of a resilient and democratic state.
